Card for hubby's 50 th

First I partially die cut the candles from a standard card

This is what it looks like folded
Then I die cut out the sentiment from gold foil paper
Then I cut out the candles in adhesive bright card stock and the flames out of the gold foil

This was the design of the inside

This was my first attempt at partial due cutting. It was a lot of work but I think it really turned out ok

Tell me what do you think?

Coffee Lovers Bloghop

CoffeeLoversBloghopLogo

So today I am joining in on my very first bloghop.  Honestly I am not a coffee drinker.   I know! What???   I do however frequent the local coffee shops for tea tea tea!  I am a tea freak. Do we run in the same circles.  Today I made a card using the die from Simon Says Stamp October card kit.  I'm loving the card and can't wait to share it.

I started off with a Close to My heart card base made of Kraft paper.  I then used Neenah cream card stock to cover front and inside cut to 5.5 x 5.5.
Next I used the Simon says Stamp  coffee cup wafer thin die to cut out several differnt colored cups from my brights DCWV paper pad.   Next I used
Two dies, one I believe is from lawn fawn and one from sizzix.
I used Simon says Stamp chocolate brown for scallop and more of the Neenah cream for the stitched circle.  I then used the Simon Says Stamp What's Brewing stamp set to stamp What's Brewing with Ranger Black archival ink.
And attached the stacking pair to the center top of the card.

Next I affixed some My Minds Eye record it Washi tape to the front of the card at 1" from the bottom.

Next I placed three cups with mixed inserted hearts  on top of the washi.  I did use some scotch tape on the back to hold the hearts and the coffee colored card stock in place on the card.  Then I adhered to the card using my ATG gin adhesive.

Next I used the coordinating steam stamp above the cups using saddle ink from Close to My Heart.

Then I added the coordination circle with heat with Ruby ink from Close to My Heart.

Inside I added the sentiment Sending you a Latte Thanks

Next I decided it needed a bit of bling so I added three gold colored pearls and added glossy clear wink of Stella to finish it off.
Hoping you enjoyed!

Halloween tag

Close to my heart makes some of the cutest stamps. I also used the gravestone cut from the artiste cartridge. I think it's adorable. I put black tule on the top after I punched a hole and I also applied glossy accents to some features and colored with ctmh alcohol markers.

Fun with canned air

This idea came from Tim Holtz of course. Playing with bright alcohol inks and glossy paper with a can of air. Fun technique. This is going to be the base of a sweet 15 birthday card
